Château Rauzan-Segla Margaux 1996
After a mild and wet winter, the bud burst started end of May in very good conditions. July and August were warm which allow a perfect maturation for the grapes. In September, sunny days along with cool nights ensured a slow ripening. Wine Spectator Intense aromas of blackberry, chocolate and currant follow through to a full-bodied palate, with soft tannins and a long decadent aftertaste. Score: 90. —James Suckling, 2007. |
