Altesino Alte d'Altesi 2003
The wine exhibits a lively purple color and a very elegant, slightly herbaceous bouquet of fruit and tobacco. Full bodied and balanced with a persistent finish, it has excellent concentration and structured tannins. Recommended with roasted meats, roastbeef and casseroles. Wine Spectator Very ripe fruit aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Slightly austere. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2007. Score: 89. —James Suckling, October 31, 2006. |
